At my church we have started a night service, so far we have been going for about 8 weeks and it has been a lot of fun.
I have been involved in the music every week except one, so a lot of my thoughts about music have been related to this service. One thing that has [...]

Last night was the second time I have had the pleasure of seeing U2 live in concert. The first time was in Auckland 3 years ago where the show was opened by Kanye West. For a long time now I have believed you should never miss an opportunity to see a great band live, and [...]

This guy designed the most beautiful guitars I have seen or played. I have seen someone from just about every genre of music using one of these and have never met a guitarist who didn’t wish they had one. My guitar (SG) actually has his name on it, though apparently he doesn’t really like them [...]

If there is a better concert venue anywhere in the world than the Gorge in Washington State, I would love to see it, because I just can’t imagine going to a venue that is more spectacular than this place.
And the venue was fitting for how spectacular the show we were about to hear was.

I also think it’s really cool that Coldplay put a link to this on their newsletter.
Wikipedia: In music, syncopation includes a variety of rhythms [...]

I am always nervous to hear a new U2 album, they go through so many changes and have random little mood swings that can result in something that is completely different to what I expect from U2. Generally speaking I have eventually liked most of their offerings once I have realised every album can’t be [...]

Dan put this on facebook, it amused me so i’m copying and i like this format better than facebook! So of the results make no sense, some fit so well it is just silly:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For the first question, type the [...]

I have bestowed upon myself the unofficial tag of new music finder for our church. I love to sing new songs and play new music, I love to change it up and have variety so I look for it and try to encourage the church that we need to play these songs – recently with some success.
It [...]
