My parents are here at the moment which is lovely because this past weekend we got to celebrate my mothers birthday on Friday, then on Sunday it was Mothers day.
The birthday involved dinner at a favourite restaurant with a friend that I grew up with who now lives here. followed by Mum winning at poker:

Sometimes I miss New Zealand, but when I think about it, I really think I just miss New Zealanders. We make me laugh, there are all sorts of inside jokes which we have and a different language (not literally) that we speak which just cracks me up.

I was talking to this girl at work the other day who was telling me how cute her nephew was, I said “mines cuter”, she said “there’s no way yours is cuter than mine” so i showed her these pictues and said “o.k. you win” and didn’t even show hers.
